Championing Social Work Education - from SH&A VP, Danan Tsan

Over the past five years in higher education executive search, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with schools of Social Work. These experiences have given me a deep respect for a field defined by compassion, justice, and a commitment to service. Social work educators bring a unique blend of academic insight and real-world experience, having often spent years in schools, hospitals, government systems, and communities before stepping into the classroom.

At SH&A, our role is to help mission-driven programs identify and attract leaders who embody the values of social work. We partner with institutions to find candidates who are not only qualified, but who also understand the importance of ethical practice, community engagement, and equity-driven leadership.
