Florence Hines

Florence Hines is a strategic enrollment practitioner with a career in admissions and enrollment management that has spanned four decades. Her career has focused exclusively on liberal arts colleges where undergraduate students are the primary focus. Known for her creative problem-solving skills and ability to achieve relevant outcomes, Ms. Hines is experienced in strategic planning and implementation as well as project management, net revenue management, and operations management.

Over her 28 years as a chief enrollment officer at four institutions, Ms. Been Hines has supervised a variety of areas beyond admission and financial aid, including university communications, athletics, and career services. She most recently served for eight years as vice president and dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at St. Lawrence University in Canton NY, where her work included leading athletics and The Center for Career Excellence. Prior to her arrival at St. Lawrence, she served in successively responsible positions including 12 years at McDaniel College (Westminster MD) as vice president of enrollment and dean of admissions, five years as dean and VP at Spring Hill College (Mobile AL) and four years as dean at Cornell College (Mt. Vernon IA). She spent 13 years at Millsaps College (Jackson MS) where she began her admissions career and ultimately served as director of admission.

Throughout her career, Ms. Hines has been passionate about the ethics of the admissions profession and the values of access and affordability for all students.
