Gretchen Foster is the former Director of Admissions
and member of the enrollment management teams at the University
of Alabama in Huntsville and Fort Lewis College in Durango,
Colorado. Her five years at the admissions director level were
preceded by roles as associate director for undergraduate recruitment
at the University of South Florida, assistant director at Miami
University (Ohio), and recruiter for Albright College (Pennsylvania)
and Elon University (North Carolina). She comes to Scott Healy
& Associates with a great deal of successful experience
in a number of areas related to admissions, enrollment management,
marketing, publications, orientation, and retention.
Gretchen has been actively involved in professional associations
throughout her career. In the admissions arena, she has been
involved in NACAC and regional NACAC organizations. She has
also made several presentations at the regional and national
conferences. She received an award for her presentation on the
use of alumni volunteers in student recruitment from the Council
for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). And she has
been a participant in the Annapolis Institute.
While Gretchen’s talents are many and varied, her special
skills are brought to bear in the area of undergraduate student
recruitment within the context of an institution strategic plan
and goals. She is an outstanding developer of potential/talent
in junior staff and supervisory/management staff. She brings
to the firm an experienced, well-rounded, well-balanced, and
creative viewpoint to the world of student recruitment and enrollment
management.
