Patrick Martin has significant experience in the registrar services profession having served as University Registrar at Northwestern University for five years; University Registrar at Northern Arizona University for thirteen years; and as Associate University Registrar at Binghamton University (SUNY) for eight years. As University Registrar, Patrick has guided Offices of the Registrar through periods of transition and reorganization with a special focus on service orientation, technological advancements, and the delivery of student services in dedicated enrollment management environments.
Through these professional positions and while managing an office and supervising staff, Patrick gained direct experience in the following registrar service areas: course catalog, class scheduling, course registrations, enrollment verification, grades processing, academic transcripts including electronic transcripts, degree audit reporting, graduation verification, diploma processing, commencement, transfer credit evaluation, NCAA athletic eligibility verification, course and teacher evaluations, FERPA related advice and training, and reporting for the federal, state, and local levels. In addition, Patrick has gained functional familiarity with the areas of Veterans Programs eligibility, document imaging, classroom scheduling, re-admission and residency.
While at Northern Arizona University, Patrick was one of several institutional representatives to the PeopleSoft, Inc. beta development efforts related to what has become Oracle/PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student Administration Systems, with an emphasis on the student records, academic advising and campus community modules. Following his participation is this major software development exercise, Patrick was appointed to serve a special assignment as Project Manager for the Student Records Module, from February, 2000 to July, 2003, for the implementation of PeopleSoft student administration software at NAU using standard project management methodology.
Combined with Patrick’s professional experience and his involvement in national, regional, and state professional associations, Patrick also has prior experience in Student Affairs in the areas of Residence Life, Campus Conduct, and Career Development. This experience, together with having served on multiple task forces, councils, and committees ranging from academic standards to statewide articulation, adds expertise to the ranks of Scott Healy & Associates and will well serve those institutions that avail themselves to Scott Healy’s good services
